Kris Valerio Shock
Executive Director

Kris Valerio Shock serves the thriving regional tech community as the Executive Director of the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council. Shock brings an eclectic background to her role at CRTC starting with her first career as an actor, writer and producer. Following eight years in New York City, Kris returned to the Baltimore-Washington area and worked her way through "conventional business" boot camp including pounding the pavement selling wine to retail and restaurant accounts in Washington, D.C., nearly three years as Vice President of Membership for the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, and Business Development Director at the Pomerantz Agency. Kris graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts and Communication and is a member of the 2006 Leadership Anne Arundel Flagship Class. When time allows Kris enjoys teaching acting in Annapolis and occasionally jumping back onstage herself. According to Kris: "The common denominator in my eclectic career is connecting people to people. I am driven by a passion  for understanding what someone needs and figuring out who they need to meet. It is thrilling to serve such a dynamic and rapidly growing membership!”  Send Kris an email.
