The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council provides a forum designed to further economic development in our community through the support of innovation and commercialization of advanced technologies.
Founded in 1992, formerly the Anne Arundel Tech Council, the Chesapeake Tech Council is a non-profit organization supported by a grant from the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation and enabled by sponsorships from our Titanium and Platinum sustaining sponsors.
The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council attracts new technology companies to the region and helps emerging technology companies grow and prosper in this increasingly dynamic environment. We do this by serving as a resource that meets technology companies' business, education and networking needs. We also help enhance public understanding of technology-related issues.
The Council is the membership association for the technology community in the Annapolis-Washington-Baltimore region. Our members include companies from throughout the technology sector, including those focusing on information technology, telecommunications, the Internet, and computer applications and software. Other members are business support firms, agencies and educational institutions which provide a wide variety of essential resources for area technology companies. The Council is advised by a board of dedicated people representing a wide range of technology businesses, educational institutions and professional service firms.
The CRTC brings together all sectors of the area's technology community, enabling it to speak with a strong and unified voice that can be heard throughout the region. We help focus the strength and influence of this growing business sector on issues important to the future of technology companies in the area.
