You use social media, right?

Posted By Michael Volk, Anne Arundel Community College, Thursday, September 26, 2013

Of course you do. Whether you like it or not, social media is something that we all have to deal with one way or another in our personal and professional lives. It is a tool that can that be both extremely beneficial and potentially disastrous depending on the situation.

In the "Cyber Age” society is constantly playing catch up as technology continues to advance and become more and more a part of our daily lives. This absolutely applies to social media. For this reason, the Workforce Development Forum is excited to announce that we are teaming up with the Social Media and Marketing Forum to host an event that will bring awareness to some of the issues that employees and business owners alike need to consider as it relates to social media.

After great reviews from her first talk about social media and employment law, Susan Shapiro of Council, Baradel, Kosmerl & Nolan, P.A. is back to bring a different spin on how social media can impact businesses. Please join us on October 25th to learn about, "Liking” "Linking” and the Law: What Every Business Needs to Know about Employees and Social Media.

I hope to see you all there!
