We at Mindgrub are proud to host the 2014 CRTC Q3 Tech talk featuring a discussion on Maryland’s EdTech landscape. As a teacher turned technologist, EdTech has always been very important to Mindgrub CEO Todd Marks. Fortunately, he has been able to turn that love into a reality with some of Mindgrub’s projects. Mindgrub is always looking for new ways to better establish ourselves in the EdTech community. By investing in education technology, we hope to foster a new generation of developers and engineers. Hosting this Tech Talk is one way that we can further highlight the many great EdTech companies working in the Maryland area. Some of the other great Baltimore area companies and groups who are working to improve the EdTech community are: Citelighter, Allovue, Greater Baltimore EdTech Advisory Task Force, Three Ring, An Estuary, Learn It Systems, Curiosityville, and Moodlerooms.
Baltimore is poised to become a leader in the EdTech market. The Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore posted a EdTech Index report
detailing Baltimore’s position in the wide open education technology field, and the future looks bright. They found that the retention of large companies like Sylvan and a steady stream of well-qualified graduates passing the AP exams from Maryland’s #1 Public School System nationwide is perfect fuel for the steadily growing EdTech industry. It is exciting to know that we will have the major players working towards a better future, both in their economy and education, for the next generation under one roof.
Come out on Tuesday, July 29th to our Locust Point offices for a different kind of discussion panel on the current Maryland EdTech landscape. Tickets are $25 for CRTC members
