With its third cyber conference on June 13, the Howard County Chamber of Commerce wants to help small businesses find their place in this thriving industry, and help government agencies and contractors make the most of our local pool of talented and innovative workers.
Cyber 3.01: Getting Down to Business will feature presentations by government leaders about the current state of the cyber industry. High-level representatives from a range of cyber-related agencies have been invited to talk about current priorities and opportunities they have to work with small businesses.
Planned break-out sessions with expert panels will focus on efforts by larger government agencies and prime contractors to engage with small businesses, opportunities in real estate and construction, programs for developing the cyber workforce, accessing financial and other resources, and working with local organizations to make connections.

The Base Business Initiative (BBI) will coordinate pre-screened, 15-minute meetings with companies and federal agencies for small businesses that meet a specific area of need. You must register and attend the conference in order to take advantage of a match-up if your business meets the needs of a prime contractor or agency.
