Commercial Cyber Forum - Capabilities Exchange Meeting & Office of Cyber Development Update

Part 1: Capabilities Exchange

The purpose of these meetings is to provide high level peer to peer opportunities for tech executives to advance cyber commercial business in the region. Rather than welcoming a featured speaker, Capabilities Exchange meetings will focus on the CRTC Member company's cyber capabilities and work to drive partnering opportunities throughout membership.

Part 2: DBED Office of Cyber Development  Conference and Tax Credit Update:
Qualified small business that perform security-based contracting or whom are raising investment capital in Maryland may be eligible for several State income tax credits including qualified federal security clearance administrative expenses, and construction and equipment costs for constructing or renovating sensitive compartmented information facilities.

  • Cybersecurity Investment Incentive Tax Credit - The purpose of this new program is to incentivize and attract cybersecurity companies to startup in or move to Maryland; and to attract investment to cybersecurity companies in order to help them grow, create jobs and retain intellectual property in Maryland.
  • Employer Security Clearances Costs Tax Credit - Provides income tax credits for expenses related to federal security clearance costs, construction of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and first-year leasing costs for small businesses doing security-based contract work.
