Madelyn Blair, PhD, Columbia University

Leaders describe today’s world as volatile, ambiguous, changing, complex—a world full of disruption that demands resilience. Dr. Blair's research has identified 3 characteristics of leaders who stand out because of their ability to deal with those ambiguous situations with resilient responses. The good news is that these characteristics can be learned and enhanced. Madelyn will talk about her findings and how you, too, can unlock your own resilience.

While you are with us, think about all the things you need to offload from your closet after opening your holiday gifts.

-- Bring gently used business attire/shoes/jewelry for donation to Dress for Success. "When one woman helps another, amazing things can happen."

-- You can dispose of your mobile devices safely and environmentally soundly. When you bring your device to the WIT Leadership Lunch, you can be confident that your data is completely removed, your device is safely disposed of or recycled, and you can help raise money for a good cause.

Our collaboration partner Women of AT&T has arranged with e-Cycle to donate the proceeds from recycling your old phones to the WOA Scholarship Fund. e-Cycle helps organizations take a responsible, secure and profitable approach to mobile phone recycling. e-Cycle collects used mobile phones and tablets from businesses and organizations, reimbursing them for devices that retain value and recycling all others at no charge. The information on every phone is either deleted or destroyed using the most comprehensive data security processes in the industry.
