Future Innovator Award offers scholarship for winning regional STEM student

Annapolis, MD – November 11, 2013– The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council (CRTC) is pleased to announce Mindgrub Technologies as the Title Sponsor for its prestigious ninth Annual TechAwards program. The awards competition is a celebration of technology excellence in the Chesapeake region recognizing outstanding achievements in the areas of innovation, strategic growth, customer service and stewardship. The theme for the ninth annual program is Get in the Game.

Todd Marks, President & CEO of Mindgrub Technologies, expressed his excitement about being the Title Sponsor of the 2014 Tech Awards, but also his gratitude over Mindgrub’s membership in the CRTC. "The CRTC is the broadest reaching technical membership organization in the region. We were honored to be the 2013 Tech Company of the Year and with our newly minted gaming division, we jumped on the opportunity to be the title sponsor for this year’s ceremony, dubbed Get in the Game."

Given Mindgrub’s focus on creative and technical expertise in Mobile Application Development, Web Development and Social Media, the 2014 TechAwards title sponsorship is an opportunity to look to the future while celebrating the company’s present, phenomenal success.

In addition, the CRTC is proud to announce that the Future Innovator Award promoting excellence in technology advancement by a regional high school student will, for the first time, include a $1000 Steven W. Oxman STEM Scholarship honoring the recently deceased founder of the Council.

Kris Shock, Executive Director of the CRTC, sees Mindgrub’s sponsorship "as an ideal match for the Council’s mission to energize the advancement of technology through innovation, creativity and strategic growth throughout the Annapolis-Washington-Baltimore region.  The CRTC is thrilled to have Mindgrub as the 2014 Title Sponsor as their new gaming division perfectly complements our Get in the Game theme. Additionally, their dedication in growing the next generation of tech talent through volunteering, mentoring and coaching STEM students throughout the region paired wonderfully with the inaugural Steven W. Oxman STEM Scholarship for the Future Innovator Award winner.”

TechAwards will be held March 26, 2014 from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport. The Call for Nominations will be announced shortly and the deadline for submission is January 24, 2014.
