Cyber industry guru creates Md. subsidiary of U.K. giant

Cyber industry veteran Adam Suri is helping establish our region as a b2b cyber powerhouse by launching a U.S.-based subsidiary of one of the world’s top cyber companies and partnering with Maryland companies.

The Domain Name Service is the address book of the Internet that stores, confirms and directs online traffic to the place it is supposed to go. When you type in www.amazon.com, the Domain Name Service system translates the domain name into a string of numbers referred to as an internet protocol address, determines where that address is hosted and connects you. Unfortunately, cyber attackers are hijacking Domain Name Service with increasing frequency to shut down websites and networks, hijack legitimate addresses to trick you into sharing confidential information and even take over servers and turn them into BOTS, literally becoming part of the attacker’s system.
