Students come in to focus at tech events

The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council stacks its monthly tech events with experts from the field, lots of networking opportunity and other resources designed to help small businesses grow.
But at a recent cyber event, a University of Maryland, Baltimore County student stole the show.
"It was a feeding frenzy of companies who were thrilled to meet her,” said Kris Shock, the tech council’s executive director.
That was when Shock got the idea to open up the council’s events to students for free. The tech council announced the initiative April 24.
