Chesapeake Regional Tech Council Announces 2015 TechAwards
Call for Nominations
Event Honoring the Region’s Top Technology Companies and Leaders moves to Baltimore with Title Sponsor ZeroFOX
Annapolis, MD – November 18, 2014 – The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council (CRTC) announced the Call for Nominations for their upcoming 2015 TechAwards titled Connect with Confidence #sociallysecure, honoring the region's rising tech companies and outstanding innovators. The prestigious awards program has taken place in the BWI area over the last several years however the 10th Annual event will take place in Baltimore on March 26, 2015 and 2014 TechAwards Rising Star Award winner ZeroFOX has been confirmed as Title Sponsor of the celebrated event.
Companies and individuals throughout the Maryland/DC region are invited to submit nominations for six award categories. The submission deadline for nominations is January 14, 2015. Finalists in Nominated categories and additional special honorees appointed by the Selection Committee will be announced on February 25, 2015.

2015 Award Nomination Categories
The Tech Company of the Year Award is awarded to a regional tech company that has proven its dedication, vision and ability to make things happen by working with a sustained, strategic business plan that has enabled it to steadily grow into a player in the area's tech industry.
The Innovator Award is given to a tech company that best exemplifies the entrepreneurship and innovative style it takes to keep the technology industry cutting-edge and forward moving.The Rising Star Award recognizes a fast growing, high achiever in the regional technology community. Rising Star companies are likely on their way to Tech Company of the Year. They have hot technology, they are innovative and fast growing and typically sport an awesome team.
The Women in Tech (WIT) Award honors an individual who best exemplifies the outstanding contributions made by women in advancing technology in industry, business and society.The Best Place to Work Award recognizes a technology company that fosters a spirit of innovation and creativity in its employees, provides benefits that encourage employee work/life balance and works to inspire greatness in its employees.
The Future Innovator Award promotes excellence in technology advancement by a regional high school student. The award fosters new thinking in the understanding of technology and its place in the future careers of area students. Students compete for this accolade as individuals and can self-nominate or be nominated by a teacher or mentor. This award is open to students in grades 9-12. The CRTC is proud to provide the winner of the Future Innovator Award with the Steven W. Oxman STEM Scholarship Award of $1000.In addition to the awards above, the Legend’s Circle Individual, Legend’s Circle Company and/or Company to Watch Awards will be given to either an individual who is seen as a significant supporter of the regional tech community or to a company that is seen as a leader in technology evidenced by the trends it has set within the industry as well as being at the forefront of innovation and growth.
The TechAwards 2015 Committee is working hard to ensure this event offers a plethora of business development opportunities. The format will provide networking at the beginning and end of the evening with a dinner program celebrating the region’s tech achievement in between. Attendees will enjoy flexible seating, generous food and drink and plenty of time to connect with the region’s best during this lively, fast-paced event.
TechAwards will be held March 26, 2015 from 5:30pm to 9:00pm at the Hilton Baltimore Hotel. The theme for the 10th annual program is Connect with Confidence #sociallysecure.
Early-bird registration tickets are $110 and are being offered from now until January 31st for CRTC Members. After January 31st tickets are $135 for CRTC members and $165 for non-members until March 24th when registration closes. Tickets purchased at the door will be $180 as available. Tables of 10 are available for $1100. Limited sponsorship opportunities remain available starting at just $550.
