Anne Arundel Tech Council Announces Board of Directors and Officers for 2008
As our look and our name are going through some changes, so is our board of directors! ANNAPOLIS, MD – November 26, 2007 -- The Anne Arundel Tech Council, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enriching the area’s growing technology industry, recently appointed a slate of Board Directors and Officers whose terms begin Jan. 1, 2008. The group of technology executives will help guide the council in its new role as the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council Michael Ryan, President and CEO of South River Technologies, will take over as President of the newly-named Chesapeake Regional Tech Council on Jan. 1. He replaces outgoing President Mark Powell, CEO of the Sidus Group, who will remain on the board as President Emeritus for a one-year term. Kevin Lancaster, Principal of Washington DC-based Network Federal, will serve as the council’s Vice President. Newly elected to the Board of Directors for two-year terms are: Reginald Hay, Vice President of Engineering and Co-founder of Columbia-based 2HB Software Designs; Tim Lorello, Senior Vice President at TeleCommunication Systems in Annapolis; Tiernan Wallace, Vice President of Business Development at Convergence Technology Consulting in Glen Burnie; and Lee White, President of Annapolis-based TSI. Re-elected to the board for two-year terms are: John Elstner, President of VentureShack in Annapolis; Rob Collins, partner at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston in Baltimore; and Laura Weidner, Executive Director, Workforce Solutions at Anne Arundel Community College in Glen Burnie.
