Chesapeake Regional Tech Council embraces latest technology for its web strategy

Annapolis, MD (October, 2009) – The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council’s (CRTC) website now boasts social media functionality thanks to the support of Annapolis- based Managed Hosting and Web Design firm, Sidus Group.

The addition of Facebook and Twitter streams, as well as an improved RSS newsfeed, has already proven successful in keeping CRTC members more actively engaged.  “We’ve just begun to tap the new capabilities offered to us by the Sidus Group, said CRTC Executive Director Kris Valerio, “but already a vibrant online community is evident on our homepage.”

This new functionality puts the CRTC in the forefront of the latest technology in web and hosting strategies, allowing them to better meet the demands of their growing organization. “The enhanced functionality of the CRTC’s new site is complimented by Sidus Group’s latest generation of content management solutions,” said Sidus COO, Jason Silva.

CRTC is now also integrated into the ‘Sidus Cloud’, which is a virtual dedicated server service built upon Sidus’ world class hosting infrastructure and VMWare’s latest virtualization technology.  “Our Cloud Computing offering provides clients like CRTC increased reliability and scalability at a significantly reduced cost,” said Silva.
