Employers Seeking Summer Help Can Meet Potential Student-Employees at County High Schools This Spring

MILLERSVILLE, March 28 – The Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) has teamed up with the Anne Arundel County Public School system to host in-school YouthWorks Summer Job Fairs at all 12 of the county’s public high schools.  Anne Arundel County businesses can meet potential summer or part-time student-employees face-to-face. Employers can target their summer job recruitment to their local area(s) by registering for booth space at one or multiple job fairs. These events will be held during lunch periods to allow interested students to meet with employers.  The job fairs are scheduled throughout April and early May, starting April 1 at Southern High School. Other dates and locations are:  Northeast High School – April 3; Chesapeake High School – April 7; Broadneck High School – April 9; South River High School – April 11; Glen Burnie High School – April 15; Meade High School – April 18; Arundel High School – April 23; North County High School – April 25; Severna Park High School – April 29; Annapolis High School – May 1; and Old Mill High School - May 8.  For more information and a complete schedule of all 12 YouthWorks Summer Job Fairs, visit www.aawdc.org.
