About the CRTC Public Policy Forum
The Public Policy Forum reports to the Board-driven Public Policy Steering Committee (PPSC) which has primary responsibility for developing and prioritizing CRTC's Public Policy Agenda. The CRTC Public Policy Steering Committee is responsible for gathering and synthesizing input from the greater CRTC community.
We formulate our agenda and advocacy through:1. Educational events and forums
2. Policy analysis, impact on members, and consensus of position
3. Engagement of stakeholders and public officials
Specifically, the CRTC Policy Steering Committee:A) organizes and conducts online/event driven Public Policy Forum where all CRTC members have an opportunity to participate where every member may bring policy issues to the table, debate, deliberate, react and provide feedback in an online discussion forum; and
B) has a prominent role in shaping and organizing in-person membership policy forums where CRTC members have an opportunity to meet with CRTC Executive Committee to raise and discuss issues they would like addressed in CRTC Public Policy Agenda.
C) establish an annual agenda for the public policy agenda the organization will educate, track and potentially advocate on.
The CRTC-PPSC consists of current CRTC Board Members and invited participants from CRTC Membership at-large.
