CRTC + GBTC
We are excited to team up with The Greater Baltimore Tech Council (GBTC) to offer CRTC Members the opportunity to participate in a TechNet Group in Anne Arundel County.
Who: Members Invited to Apply When: Monthly
About:
If you are looking for a way to build trusted relationships with smart, successful and fun-loving professionals – then you’ve come to the right place. The CRTC-GBTC TechNet Group is specifically geared towards building relationships to assist you with your business development efforts. The group is comprised of non-competing companies (12 to 25 people). Their shared interest in the local tech community gives them the ability to introduce one another to valuable new contacts. By meeting on a regular basis, the individuals within each group get to know one another, talk about their business and develop a robust business referral network.
Details:
- Although the group develops their own meeting time/location and attendance policy, the expectations from fellow members noted in the general policies and guidelines apply for the group.
- Individuals will be placed in the CRTC-GBTC TechNet group on a first-come, first-serve basis which is dependent on the availability within each group.
- Preference is also given to organizations who are not already participating in a GBTechNet group.
- Oversight for CRTC-GBTC TechNet will be provided for by the TechNet Chairs and the CRTC-GBTC staff.
- A company may not be represented in more than one (1) GBTechNet Groups, unless there are vacancies in a particular industry and no prospects on the waiting list. If a company joins a second group, it is understood that they may be asked to give up the second seat should someone form the same industry, seeking a position, submit an application.
- Cost/Placement: Annual Fee of $200
To apply to participate in the CRTC-GBTC TechNet Group, send an email expressing interest to exdir@chesapeaketech.org
GENERAL GUIDELINES AND POLICIES FOR THE CRTC-GBTC TECHNET GROUP
- Only one person from each profession is permitted to join each group.
- All participants should represent their primary occupation, not a part-time business.
- Attendance is mandatory. Each group will agree to an attendance policy that works for their participants. Participants are then required to follow the group's policy or they will be asked to leave the group.
- Individuals must be a member in good standing of CRTC, GBTC or both organizations to participate.
- Each participant represents an organization. Therefore, if a participant should leave his/her organization, the seat still belongs to that organization and not to the individual. Consequently, the participant must re-apply to the group on behalf of a new organization. Remember: the organization which the participant represents must be a member of CRTC, GBTC or both organizations.
- There is a 30-day grace period for an individual who leaves his/her representing organization, assuming that there is no conflict with the previous employer.
- To allow as many CRTC & GBTC members as possible to participate, if an organization is in two or more groups, and a person from a conflicting organization wants to participate, the organization in two or more groups must give up a seat.
